Named for Arnie Gunther, who was instrumental in establishing various sports programs in Tinley Park, Gunther Sports Field was acquired by the park district in 1992. The 8.35 acres and contains soccer field areas and can be utilized for multi purpose open space activities.

The District takes great pride in providing safe, clean outdoor amenities for residents and visitors and our staff works hard to maintain the premises. If you see something unusual happening at a park, please notify us at 708-342-4200 or the Tinley Park Police Department at 708-532-9111. For information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons performing acts of vandalism or destruction within any park, there is a reward up to $500.
