There is still time before you head back to the classroom. Come out and celebrate the end of summer with Tinley Park-Park District’s Back to School Fun Fair. The event features games, crafts and a selfie station. The settle in for the Teen Beach Move (PG), a fun musical for the whole family. Bring chairs and/or blankets to relax and enjoy the show! The event begins at 7:00 pm; the movie begins at dusk.

Tinley Park Performing Arts Center is holding auditions for their fall productions. You must register in advance to audition.

• • Kidz Theater presents The Jungle Book the well-known tale of Mowgli, a young boy raised by wolves. Children ages 5 to 8 will audition between 9:00 and 10:30 am. Rehearsals are Tuesday and Thursdays, 4:30 to 6:00 pm from September 6 to November 1. Performances are November 5, Saturday, 6:00 pm and November 6, Sunday, 2:00 pm.

• • Holiday Theater presents A Wicked Christmas Carol is the story of the Wicked Witch of the West taken on a journey through her past present and future the a ghostly figure. A thrilling transformation of the Christmas classic. Children ages 6 to 16 are invited to audition between
    2:00 and 3:30 pm. Rehearsals are Mondays from 4:30 – 6:30 pm. Performances on Saturday December 3 at 6:00 pm and Sunday, December 4 at 2:00 pm.

• • Children’s Theater presents Break a Leg a comedy about the cast and crew of a theater production trying to break the jinx that is cast on Trudy, the new stage manager. Children ages 9 to 12 are invited to audition between 10:30 am and 12:00 pm. Rehearsals are Saturdays, September 10 to December 10, from 9:00 –11:00 am. Performances on Friday December 16 at 6:00 pm, Saturday December 17 at 4:30 pm and Sunday, December 18 at 2:00 pm.

• • Teen Theater presents A Life Worth Improvising at the Purple Pelican an dramatic comedy about troubled teens getting an opportunity to gain afresh, meaningful and genuine life at the Purple Pelican camp. Teen ages 13 to 17 will to audition between 12:30 and 2:00 pm. Rehearsals are
    Saturdays, September 10 to December 10 12:30 and 2:00 pm. Performances are Friday, December 16 at 8:30 pm, Saturday, December 17 at 7:00 pm and Sunday, December 18 at 4:30 pm.
