
Independence Day Celebration
July 4 @ 4:00 pm - 10:00 pm CDT

The Village of Tinley Park and the Tinley Park Park District are hosting a joint Independence Day Celebration from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, July 4 at McCarthy Park, 16801 S. 80th Ave., Tinley Park.
Festivities will kick off with live music by Five Guys Named Moe at 4 p.m. and Spoken Four at 6:40 p.m., followed by food and beverages for sale from local vendors, inflatables for kids, bingo, a magic show by the Great Boodini, and a gun salute and flag-raising ceremony. The celebration will end with a fireworks show set to patriotic music at 9:30 p.m. Visitors will also be able to enjoy mini golf and batting cages all day!
Food and beverage vendors will include Durbin’s, Joey’s, Monster Gyro,  Pierogi Rig, Tone Capone Tacos, Salubrious Stop, and Kona Ice. Gates will open at 3 p.m.

Prohibited Items
The following are not allowed in the event premises:
- weapons
- scooters
- bicycles
- roller skates/blades
- cannabis
- glass
- drones
- animals (with the exception of service animals)
- firearms, explosives, and/or fireworks (including those possessed by Concealed Carry License holders)
By entering the event premises, you consent to allow all bags to be searched.
Youth Supervision Policy
The Village of Tinley Park and Tinley Park Park District is committed to ensuring guests enjoy a safe, pleasant, and family friendly festival environment through enforcement of the Youth Supervision Policy, as outlined below.
- A parent or adult age 21 or older must always accompany guests age 17 and younger.
- Supervising adults will need to show proof of age and will be asked to leave the property if they cannot.
- Proper identification includes a state-issued driver’s license or ID card, a passport, or a military ID. Identification must include a photograph and date of birth, and be tamper-proof.
- One adult may accompany as many as three youths.
- Supervising adults are responsible for the actions of the youth they accompany and must ensure they are following the festival’s Code of Conduct.
Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to adhere to the Code of Conduct, which event staff will actively enforce. Misconduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Illegal, irresponsible, or unsafe use of alcohol and other substances
- Obscene or offensive gestures, including through imagery, symbolism, banners, signs, or other visuals deemed offensive
- Unwelcome sexual attention, advances, or other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature
- Fighting and other actions that may harm, endanger, threaten, or bring discomfort to people or personal property
- Creating an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment, including taunting, physical or verbal advances, remarks, bullying, offensive jokes, harassing, taking or sharing sexually explicit pictures, intimidation, or stalking
- Distracting, interacting with, or in any way interfering with a service animal
- Accessing restricted areas without proper credentials
