Tinley Park, Illinois: Grab your camping gear and head to Community Park on July 19 for a fun-filled overnight camp out! Tinley Park-Park District hosts this event annually and it is always a hit with kids and parents! You can begin setting up your tent or pop-up at 4:30 pm, then get your wristband and head for the pool. White Water Canyon Water Park will be open to campers until 8:00 pm. Then it is time to enjoy all the fun activities in the moonlight beginning with a visit from Big Run Wolf Ranch where you can meet a wolf, skunk and more! There will be a campfire complete with s’mores, camp crafts, stargazing, a late night movie on our outdoor screen and more! Campers are invited to enjoy a continental breakfast in the morning before heading home.
Registration is available in person at the Tony Bettenhausen Rec Center, 8125 W. 171st or at www.tinleyparkdistrict.org. There are limited campsites available and they fill fast so do not wait to register!
