Tinley Park, Illinois: The Tinley Park-Park District is hosting a selfie contest this summer! The contest is being sponsored by Lucky Hot Dog, located at 8020 171st Street, and is simple to enter! Just post a selfie of you and at least one other person (or a pet) that is taken at any Tinley Park-Park District activity, event, park or facility. You must post with the hashtag #TPPDsliceofsummerFUN to have your photo entered. There will be weekly winners announced on Facebook. A grand prize winner will be announced in September. The Park District hosts events all summer! Shop for treasures at the Giant Garage Sale on May 12. Spend an afternoon at the Vogt Visual Arts Center Annual Art Show and Sale on June 2. Enjoy an outdoor concert or movie at Thursdays in the Park. Celebrate the Fourth of July at the community-wide event at McCarthy Park that includes live music, food, tons of activities for kids and, of course, the eyepopping fireworks display finale. Spend time with the family at our annual Family Camp Out July 13 and 14. Be sure to look for the Lucky Hot Dog Food truck at many of our events to purchase a snack or refreshment!
