Tinley Park, Illinois: On March 23, the Tinley Park-Park District has two events scheduled to welcome Spring. At the Recreation Center families are invited to have Pizza with Peter Rabbit. In addition to a delicious pizza dinner, there will be pictures with Peter, games and a special treat for each registered child. The event runs from 5:45 until 7:15 pm. The cost is $10 per person for Park District residents, and $13 per person for non-residents. Registration is required but is not available for online registration. You can register in person at the Bettenhausen Rec Center, 8125 W. 171st Street. Following the festivities, Peter Rabbit will lead guests to the next event.
Children ages 3 – 8 are invited to a Flashlight Egg Hunt (weather permitting) at the Community Park baseball fields at 8121 W. 171st Street on March 23. Bring your flashlights, but please no baskets or bags are allowed on the fields. Children ages 3 and 4 will hunt for the eggs on the South field at 7:30 pm. At 7:45 pm, 5 – 8 year olds will begin their hunt on the north field. The fields are located just west of the Recreation Center across from the water park. The event is FREE to the public and no registration is required.
