Tinley Park, Illinois: The Tinley Park-Park District is proud to dedicate the new Veteran’s Memorial at Veteran’s Park, 16001 South Ozark Avenue. The new memorial was a key component of the total renovation of the park. The Park District invites the public to join local leaders, Park District commissioners and residents at 10 am on Saturday, May 18 for the dedication ceremony.
Tinley Park-Park District Executive Director Shawn Roby stated, “We feel Armed Forces Day is the perfect occasion to dedicate the memorial and honor all those who have and are serving our country in all branches of the armed forces.” The ceremony will take approximately one hour. Following the ceremony, guests are invited to tour the park and experience all that it has to offer.
